Saint Francis International School presents three exciting programs for the summer of 2011.
> St. Mark's Basketball Camp is led by Coach Pat Smith of DeMatha Catholic High School. The goal of the St. Mark’s Basketball Camp is to create an enjoyable and enthusiastic environment where each camper can learn the fundamentals of the game of basketball. With an emphasis on the development of individual skills as well as an understanding of team concepts, the St. Mark’s Basketball Camp is focused on each camper’s development as a player, as well as his or her development as a person and a teammate. -- LEARN MORE
> Summer @ Saint Francis is our summer camp program offered in partnership with Camp Fire USA. The program is designed to meet the needs of families with children in preschool (ages 3 and 4) and in grades K through 8. We offer core camp hours from 9 am to 4 pm daily plus extended camp hours for those families that need extra care for their children.
We have partnered with Camp Fire USA to offer a summer day and resident camp program that combines traditional camp activities with learning and opportunities to develop leadership skills. Each week of camp Summer @ Saint Francis is built around a theme such as “Wild Wonderful World.” Our talented team of teachers and counselors create activities for each day that include arts and crafts, sports, drama, games, and many other opportunities for fun that also have reading, writing, math, science, and social studies built in. All students will also participate in planning a service project that improves our community. Our goal is for children to learn almost without knowing that it’s happening.
Each week also includes a field trip for students in grades 1-8 that is related to that week’s theme. Trips will be include an environmental education center, museums, a planetariums, a wildlife center, and other interesting educational sites. Older students who participate in Summer @ Saint Francis also have the opportunity to attend a one-week overnight camping program. During camp we will also host a number of family events to engage the entire family in the camp program.
Students who participate in Summer @ Saint Francis will not only have many fun experiences but they will grow intellectually and be ready to jumpstart school in the fall. Summer @ Saint Francis is the perfect chance to grow friendships in a relaxed camp setting. We will also focus on challenging students to be leaders in many of the activities and routines of the camp.

> Saint Francis Summer School is offered for students of Saint Francis International School and other area Catholic schools who need academic remediation or who could benefit from extra time in the classroom during the summer. The summer school program focuses on the core areas of Language Arts, Mathematics, and Study Skills. Students attending the Saint Francis Summer School have the opportunity to concurrently enroll in the Summer @ Saint Francis camp program, thus providing a full learning opportunity throughout the summer.
