Saint Francis International School presents five exciting programs for the summer of 2015.
> Get Ready for Kindergarten – for student currently in Pre-K 4 who will be in Kindergarten in the fall.
This four week program will reinforce fundamental skills and help students get ready for the new environment of Kindergarten in a fun and engaging way. Emphasis will be put on making sure that the literacy and math skills needed for Kindergarten are mastered. Classes will be made up of no more than eight students. -- LEARN MORE
> Get Ready for First Grade – for students currently in Kindergarten who will be in 1st grade in the fall.
1st grade brings new responsibilities for students including an emphasis on personal organization and self-motivation. This program is designed to foster rising 1st graders’ independence and make sure they have the reading and math skills needed for 1st grade. Classes will be made up of no more than eight students.

> Traditional Math & Language Arts – for any students currently in grades 1 through 7, especially those who might be struggling with their grades.
Our traditional summer school program offers intensive math, reading, and writing classes in groups of no more than eight students. The curriculum for summer school is built around the needs and interests of the children in each class. Students are assessed before and after the summer academy and parents receive weekly progress reports throughout the program. -- LEARN MORE
> Arts & Humanities Enrichment – for students currently in grades 2 through 7 who have high marks.
The “Morningstar Academy” is a summer school set in the Middle Ages and led by SFIS middle school Language Arts teacher Ms. Danina Garcia. Students will enter the historical and mythological worlds of the Middle Ages through an interactive study of art, literature, and drama. Students will come away from this program with a deeper appreciation of art, literature, and social studies as well as deepened reading and communication skills. -- LEARN MORE
> Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Enrichment – for students currently in grades 4 through 7 who have high marks.
“SciTech@SFIS” is a summer school program focused on making science and math enjoyable which is led by nationally recognized Advanced Placement Chemistry and Physics teacher Mr. Mike Miehl. Students will use their math and science skills and knowledge to engage in experiments and activities that will let them grow in areas of technology and engineering. Student will come away from this program with greater exposure to technology and engineering concepts as well as stronger math and science skills.-- LEARN MORE
